They are not tax, financial, legal or superannuation advice, and they do not take your objectives, financial situation or needs into account. Estimates, not assessments

Results are estimates based on the figures you enter and on simplifying assumptions set out in the methodology. Your actual tax, Medicare levy, study loan repayment, super and take-home pay may be different. Only the Australian Taxation Office can assess your tax.

Among other things, the calculators do not account for:

• tax deductions, other income, capital gains or investment losses;
• tax offsets other than the low income tax offset;
• the Medicare levy surcharge, family reductions or partial exemptions;
• salary sacrifice, fringe benefits, allowances, overtime and bonuses;
• pay-by-pay PAYG withholding amounts, which employers calculate using ATO schedules;
• part-year residency or changes in circumstances during the year.

Accuracy and currency

We take care to use current rates from official sources, and we flag figures that have not yet been published for a financial year. Tax law changes, and errors are possible. We make no warranty that the information is complete, accurate or up to date.
